Joel had impactful experiences early in his career through Sell Side Equity Research.  He then moved into Corporate Finance at the Fortune 500 retailer Kohl’s Corporation.  It was at Kohl’s where Joel’s professional leadership took shape, progressing within Strategic Finance and FP&A over eleven years.  That time presented more unique and impactful work efforts, high levels of responsibility, and growth through great leaders.

Seeking a different challenge, Joel transitioned to the innovative Insurtech startup Spot Insurance in March 2021, to lead and scale Finance.  Joel remains at Spot today, leading Finance, driving cross-functional initiatives, and shaping strategy.

Joel lives in Austin with his wife and young children.
